He is our Board vice chairperson and a teacher of physics and mathematics with extensive knowledge and experience in carrying out inclusive education pedagogy and sign language training.
Bridget Akandinda is the Board Treasurer of Compassion Special Needs Uganda. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (English and Literature). She is currently working in sales. She is passionate about adding value and contributing to the growth of Compassion Special Needs Uganda.
He is our board representative for children with special needs. He advocates for inclusion and empowerment of children with disabilities. He works as a Graphic Designer at Amylia Studio, which operates under the AmyliaHome Group. Their group includes AmyliaHome for crafts and homeware, personalized gifts and Amylia Kids, which focuses on arts and crafts activities for children.
In addition, he serves as a storytelling teacher for children, including Deaf students and other children with disabilities, using storybooks at Ntinda School for the Deaf. The program is led by Deaf Link Uganda, focuses on literacy development and helps improve students’ communication and creativity skills.
He is a professional Deaf teacher and a Ugandan Sign Language Bible Translator. He is the founder, Executive Director and also the Secretary to the Board of Directors of Compassion Special Needs Uganda. He has voluntarily served several positions in Non- Governmental Organizations and churches these may include Board chairperson for center sign language bible translation network Uganda, Student representative and administrator at Deaf Link Uganda, a Ugandan Sign Language Bible Translator at D.O.O.R International Africa, Nairobi Kenya, Evangelist and Head of Laity at St. Luke’s Church of the Deaf, Ntinda Uganda. He is passionate about Preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ and transforming the lives of the Orphans and Vulnerable Children with disabilities.
He is a professional sign language interpreter with over 4 years experiences currently working with compassion special needs Uganda. He is passionate about disability inclusion, communication access, and psychosocial support for children and youth with disabilities in Uganda. He has volunteered with Sign Language for All Initiative as a sign language instructor and tutor, promoting accessible communication within communities. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Guidance and counseling psychology
